The Storytelling Project

Goal |
The goal is to interview seniors (elders) using video so their wisdom can be shared freely with all generations. |
Who can participate |
Participants in the Storytelling Project include all generations. First, there are seniors/elders with stories to tell from their lives, especially those in which they learned something. Second, there are the youth who are especially invited to video record the elders in their community, capturing their stories and life lessons. And the middle generation can help coordinate and connect the elders and youth, promote the project and provide some resources to the project participants. |
What you need |

How to get started |
Gather up your resources and make a video. The most important component is the wisdom you capture - this is not about making Hollywood quality productions (although no one is discouraging that! ) Once the video is recorded, you or someone else can edit it into a short bite-sized clip, of about 3 to 5 minutes in length, capturing the essence of a single story and any lessons the elder learned. If you want some more information on how to do this, please drop us a note at this email register @ bridge-builder.net and we'll do our best to help you get going. |
